Energy and electron transfer
Coordination Chemistry for Light-harvesting
Inorganic coordination compounds have the potential to be used as multichromophore energy-harvesters and act as conduits for electron transfer. We investigate fundamental questions on the mechanism of energy delocalization/localization to advance a basic understanding of photoinduced electron transfer and its use as an initiation step into photoinduced catalysis. We focus on ruthenium based monomers, Ru-M’ dimers and Ru-M-M” trimers with selective ligands that allow the modulation of the excited state dynamics.Chemical Sciences, 2017, 8, 7434-7442 DOI: 10.1039/c7sc02670f.
